Return to Jump Protocol

Check out the program!
  • Complete this program in combination with a complete rehabilitation program including strengthening andneurodynamic control exercises.
  • Start and end with the foot warm up
  • Some pain/discomfort is ok during this program. The pain should be manageable and should return to baseline within 1 hour of completion. Also, you should not feel increased pain/stiffness the following morning.
  • Depending on your symptoms: Go back one workout or repeat the same workout
  • Complete a minimum 3x/week & maximum 5x/week

Concussion Protocol

Check out the program!
  • 7-stage graded Return to Dance protocol following a concussion
  • Progresses from initial rest → light aerobic activity → studio return → partial rehearsal (no inversions/spins) → partial rehearsal (adds inversions/turns) → full rehearsal → full return to dance
  • Each stage can advance every 24+ hours, but only if symptoms don't increase; if symptoms worsen, drop back to the previous stage
  • Symptoms persisting beyond 14 days (adults) or 1 month (children) = referral to a healthcare professional/concussion care team
  • Medical clearance from a physician required before full rehearsal (Stage 6); performance clearance comes later at Stage 7

  • Strength exercises include toe pickups, calf raises, reverse lunges, bear plank, and Copenhagen plank

Higher Leaps Lab

Plyometrics isn't jump training - it's teaching the body to absorb and return force efficiently. Quiet landings come before big jumps.
