What membership should I get?

Why can’t I get everything I need from my studio training?

Your studio is where you should focus on your technique, choreography, and rehearsals, in order to really soak up all the incredible dance education available to you through your teachers and fellow dancers. Dance educators will refer you to clinicians and dance science experts for your injury prevention and management so that they can focus on what they are there to do, which is to teach dance. It isn’t fair to ask them to be your expert for everything you need. Every dancer needs a “pit crew”. Every dancer needs a full team supporting them beyond the resources of their studio so that the studio can focus on their area of expertise while comfortably knowing the dancer is well supported for the other bits and pieces by their pit crew.

How do I fit Pivot Dancer into my program?

Dancers are busy! School, work, classes, rehearsals, travel…. It all adds up. This is why we found an app to host Pivot Dancer. Being able to pull up your physio exercises between classes, or watch an educational video while you ride the bus, makes Pivot Dancer your secret weapon. Making use of the in-between spaces means you have more time off in your time off! 15 minutes a day is almost 2 hours of training/week. It doesn’t have to feel like a burden, in fact, it should feel invigorating and you’ll notice your dancing improving quite quickly as you incorporate Pivot Dancer into your day.

Can I use my health insurance for classes?

Health insurance is designed to provide policyholders with extended health care benefits for health services that aren’t included in national health care programs. These are typically considered one-on-one appointments with a registered health care practitioner. Classes are usually not included in these policies however, some people find that they can submit their classes to a health spending account if this is a part of their policy.
