Growing up, Dominique was a high performance gymnast and had dedicated her life to competitive sports. Following a gymnastics career ending injury, she re-focused her energy and passion towards rehabilitation. Having gone through the rigorous rehab herself, with the extra uphill battle of being hypermobile, a concept not well understood during that time, she decided to give back to athletes and dedicate her career to helping others prevent injuries, rehabilitate and become more resilient.
A BSc (Spec Hons) Kinesiology graduate from York University, Dominique went on to get her CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) with the NSCA and prioritizes taking continuing education courses every year. Over the past 14 years, she has coached and programmed for athletes of all ages ranging from beginners to Olympians in the gym. When she’s not in the gym, Dominique spends her time in the clinic creating and implementing exercise and rehabilitation programs for patients ranging from post-operative care to clients with Parkinson’s disease.
Through her own personal experience, Dominique has developed a profound interest for movement quality, re-educating the injured body to move efficiently and helping others around her find a better quality of life through movement. To compliment her coaching and continue giving the best care to her clients, Dominique has gone back to school and is finishing her 5th and final year in her Osteopathic studies.
Her ultimate goal is to give people that work with her the freedom to move pain free and achieve high levels of performance.
